The Luciana Fund: Support for Lugo Hospital

The Luciana Fund, established at Fondo Filantropico Italiano, is a philanthropic initiative by an anonymous benefactor who wanted to commit to supporting the "Umberto I" Hospital in Lugo (Ravenna, Emilia-Romagna) with real interventions that can bring immediate improvements to the hospital structure.

On December 12 2024 took place, in the presence of the Mayor of Lugo Elena Zannoni, the Hospital Director Dr. Paolo Tarlazzi, and the Executive Vice President of Fondo Filantropico Italiano Simonetta Schillaci, the ribbon cutting ceremony for the first pieces of equipment purchased thanks to the Luciana Fund: 4 operating beds, a surgical lamp, and all related accessories, in support of the technical renewal of the hospital's surgical department.

The Fund was created to remember a person who is no longer here, and the healthcare facility was chosen both as a form of recognition by the donor and also because the Lugo hospital is an exemplary district hospital, close to the population, working within a territorial network and responding effectively according to a needs-centered care model.
