Transnational Giving Europe (TGE) becomes Giving Europe
February 10, 2026, Brussels – A new chapter begins for Giving Europe, formerly Transnational Giving Europe (TGE), the network that for over twenty years has facilitated international giving across its 19 partner countries through the cooperation of philanthropic institutions such as Fondo Filantropico Italiano.
The transition from Transnational Giving Europe (TGE) to Giving Europe is not merely a change of name, but the result of a commitment to become clearer, more recognizable, and closer to the needs of those who give across borders.
The mission of the network, however, remains unchanged: to make international giving simple, secure, and tax-efficient—a service that is increasingly essential and sought after by philanthropists.
“We’ve listened to our network of non-profit organisations, donors and partners and we understood it was time for an update. The new look and website better reflect where we are today – and more importantly where our ambitions are taking us” stated Anne-Laure Paquot, Network Manager at Giving Europe. “At a time when European philanthropy continues to grow, it is important to make support for organizations operating beyond national borders even more accessible and immediate”.
In 2024, Giving Europe helped channel 27.5 million Euros from donors to different causes across Europe. With over 1,300 non-profit organisations vetted and registered on their platform, Giving Europe serves donors and organisations in 19 countries: Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.
Fondo Filantropico Italiano is Giving Europe’s only partner for Italy.
