On March 10 2025, the prestigious Villa Necchi Campiglio in Milan hosted the event "Private Banking and Philanthropy" organized by AIPB (Italian Private Banking Association). The central theme of the event was the social role of private banking and how to create value for the broader community.
The panel featured distinguished speakers including: Andrea Ragaini President of AIPB; Marcello Gallo President of Fondo Filantropico Italiano; Ilaria Lenzi from FAI's Bequests and Donations Office; Stefano Loconte Founder and Trustee of the Italian Art Trust; and Andrea Vicari Founder of Vicari Avvocati Law Firm. The discussion was moderated by Stefania Pedroni Chair of AIPB's Technical Committee on Wealth Planning & Private Insurance.
Marcello Gallo contributed to the conversation with insights on philanthropic tools and the growing value of philanthropic intermediation in wealth and financial planning. He emphasized how Donor-Advised Funds (DAF) and highly professional advisory services are increasingly valued by donor-clients, offering flexible and personalized solutions and enabling well-structured philanthropic initiatives.
