Tumaini Trust Kenya was founded in 2014, to offer access to education and training to academically deserving students from disadvantaged economic backgrounds. The fund provides scholarships in top public high schools and universities in Kenya, aiming to help students in their academic and professional journey and enabling more young people to access such institutions despite the inability of their parents or guardians to pay school fees.

With its 180,000 inhabitants, the Korogocho slum is the third largest shantytown in the surrounding of Nairobi. Since 2015, Talitha has lived permanently in Kenya to personally manage the fund.
In 9 years of activity, Tumaini Trust Kenya has operated to support education at community level, with over 180 scholarships awarded, student tutoring, consultancy services and facilitation of internships for scholarship beneficiaries, organization of cultural events and environmental awareness for the community. The Trust has created a network of partnerships in Korogocho involving the local administration, schools, and parents.
