Women for Women Fund, an Ever-Growing Commitment

The Women for Women Philanthropic Fund has adopted another project: D.O.T.S. (Women, Guidance, Training, Skills), the program by the Adecco Fundation designed to restore awareness to women who live in difficult situations and have troubled backgrounds, offering them opportunities for redemption through work.

In fact, the project targets women who are victims of violence, bullying, have psychiatric conditions, or migration experiences, who are currently unemployed due to life events and the pandemic. The beneficiaries are placed in a personalized job orientation program, with professional training and active job search opportunities within the project’s partner companies. The program involves network work, which will include various local organizations, such as hospitals, anti-violence centers, and associations, to recruit the beneficiaries, and major partner companies for the women's employment. D.O.T.S. is one of the projects of the Adecco Foundation, one of the leading Italian organizations committed to these issues. For over 20 years, the foundation has been working to make the world of work more inclusive, equitable, and diverse.

The Women for Women Fund and the Projects Supported

The Women for Women Fund was founded in 2022 by 10 founders to support disadvantaged women, and it represents an example of collaborative philanthropy inspired by philanthropic models that are widely adopted abroad (Donor-Advised Funds) but still relatively unknown in Italy.

The fund commits annually to projects related to gender-based violence, particularly to help disadvantaged women achieve or regain their autonomy, offering them protection and support.

Gender equality and inclusion in the workplace are two of the areas the members of the Women for Women philanthropic fund have decided to focus on, with the aim of empowering women today to develop autonomy and independence, essential elements for freeing themselves from abuse and economic subjugation. Indeed, the Adecco Foundation's project aims to lead the beneficiaries toward greater autonomy by working first on self-awareness and relationships with others, where gender and identity differences become strengths and opportunities for both the individual and the company.

Since its establishment, the Women for Women Fund has been active in supporting the Spazio Donna Brescia of WeWorld, a place of welcome and aggregation where women victims of violence, isolation, or social marginalization find specialized support for themselves and their children. Spazio Donna is WeWorld's program, launched in 2014 and now active in six other cities, designed to offer spaces for the prevention and emergence of gender-based violence.
